Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the Lawlese platform, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Description of Service

Lawlese is a legal technology marketplace that connects clients with licensed legal professionals. Lawlese is NOT a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, represent clients, or engage in the unauthorized practice of law. Users are solely responsible for verifying the credentials and qualifications of legal professionals they engage.

User Accounts

To use Lawlese, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for: • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password • Accepting responsibility for all activities under your account • Notifying us immediately of unauthorized use • Providing accurate and current information We reserve the right to suspend accounts with false or misleading information.

For Clients

Clients may: • Search for and review legal professionals • Book consultations and services • Pay securely through Lawlese • Communicate with professionals via the platform Payment terms: Funds are held in escrow until services are completed. Cancellations made 24+ hours before appointment receive full refunds. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit 50% of fees.

For Lawyers

To offer services on Lawlese, you must: • Be actively licensed in your jurisdiction • Provide verified bar license information • Maintain accurate profile information • Comply with all professional responsibility rules • Use accurate fee structures False credentials or misrepresentation will result in immediate account termination.

Payment Terms

Payment Processing: • Client payments are held in escrow by Lawlese • Lawlese charges a 10% platform fee on all transactions • Stripe processes all payments securely • Lawyers receive payouts within 5 business days of service completion • Disputes must be reported within 30 days • Refund requests are subject to verification

Prohibited Conduct

Users may NOT: • Engage in unauthorized practice of law • Provide false credentials or licensing information • Manipulate reviews or ratings • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users • Attempt to circumvent payment processing • Use the platform for fraudulent purposes • Violate professional responsibility rules • Share privileged information publicly Violations result in account suspension or permanent termination.

Intellectual Property

Lawlese owns all intellectual property rights to: • Platform design and interface • Software and technology • Content, logos, and branding • Documentation and guides You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any Lawlese intellectual property without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

Lawlese is not responsible for: • The quality of legal services provided by lawyers • Outcomes of legal proceedings or advice • Disputes between clients and lawyers • Data loss or security breaches beyond our control • Third-party actions or content TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAWLESE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or relating to this agreement shall be: • Resolved through binding arbitration • Conducted in Houston, Texas • Governed by the laws of Texas • Subject to the American Arbitration Association rules You waive your right to a jury trial and agree not to pursue class actions.

Termination

Lawlese may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you: • Violate these terms • Engage in illegal activity • Provide false information • Harass or abuse other users • Violate professional responsibility rules Upon termination, you forfeit access to the platform and any outstanding credits.
