Is it really free to search?
Yes — clients can browse all lawyers, view profiles, and read reviews with no account required. You only need an account to message or book.
When does the lawyer get paid?
Payment is held in escrow when the client books. Funds are released to the lawyer within 24 hours after the session is marked complete.
What if I need to cancel?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your session. 50% refund for 12–24 hours. No refund under 12 hours. Lawyer cancellations always receive a full refund.
Do lawyers set their own rates?
Yes. Lawyers set their own hourly rates and flat fees. Lawlese adds a 5% client service fee on top of the lawyer's price at checkout.
Is there a contract for lawyers?
No long-term contracts. Lawyers subscribe month-to-month and can cancel anytime. Annual billing saves 2 months.
What payment methods are accepted?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, and payment plans (3 installments) for qualifying bookings.
